On our list of the best VR apps, this one is for those who like to hold lectures on different topics. From the comfort of your own home, you can take a tour of a museum in the virtual world. And, as technology keeps evolving, one day you’ll be able to take field trips with your students and show them all the world without moving a single muscle. It’s free and it’s awesome.
8. Discovery VR
This free VR app from the Discovery Channel will put you along the crew from Deadliest Catch or see an experiment made be the two from Mythbusters from different angles. Now that we’re at the half of the road, it’s time to suit up. We’re going on an exploration trip. In our own body. Now this is quite interesting: if you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be inside a human body and see how it all works, this is your chance. This VR app is more of a game in which you play a race game, dodging or collecting objects. While being fun and, of course, addicting, you can see where and how the story unfolds. It’s available for download on the iTunes app store, and it’s free.
4. Wall Street Journal VR
The WSJVR is an acronym for The Wall Street Journal in VR. Their offer is that of reading news in VR. Of course, who wouldn’t want to drink their coffee in the morning and be up to date with the news of the business world. You can toy around with a 3D stock ticker and 360° news videos on top of the written articles. This one’s available on Google Store and other stores.

This is an incredibly well resourced VR app. It’s called YouTube VR. Well, you know, YouTube in VR. You can watch videos in 360°, which is awesome. And you can do so for free. Or pay approximately $10 for an add-free experience. Either way, it’s awesome to be at a U2 live concert. I mean, VR live concert.
2. Tilt Brush (HTC Vive)
The Tilt Brush is an astonishing paint program in VR. You can either creater amateur paintings or drawings or all else. Or, if you’re a professional painter, you can create really wonderful works of art which you can share with others. It’s a very polished and refined program which would blow away any person that’s interested in painting. Or just to relax. Either way, this app is $30.09 on the Steam store.
1. TheBlu (HTC Vive)
TheBlu is one of the those VR apps that’s very used on the HTC Vive. Why? Because it shows the unique characteristics that make VR unbelievable and yet totally real. In this app, you explore the deep ocean waters, in three experience levels. And while doing so, you get to feel what it is like to dive and be around the marine flora and fauna. You can buy it on Steam Store for $10.74.
